BLEND YOUR OWN MASSAGE OILS

Using pure essential oils and the following vegetable carrier oils, you can blend your own Massage oils.

CARRIER/BLENDING OILS

Sweet Almond Oil (Cold pressed and unrefined)
prunis dulcis
This rich nourishing oil makes an ideal base to which to add essential oil for body massage. (Rough guide: add 6 drops of essential oil to a half eggcup of sweet almond oil).

Jojoba Oil (Cold pressed and unrefined, Certified Organic)
Long shelf life, anti ageing properties, excellent facial oil, protective of dry skin, good for psoriasis, eczema, anti-inflammatory, good for joint pains.

Rosehip Seed Oil/Rosa Mosquetta
(Pressed from seeds of rosa rubiginosa, Certified Organic)
It contains nutrients which are most helpful in tissue rejuvenation. The oil has a reputation for reducing scars and wrinkles.
For best results the scar should be less than a year old. The oil can be applied neat or, for economy of use, diluted 25% in Sweet Almond oil. Up to 5% essential oil may be added. Essential oils with noted skin regenerative properties include Lavender and Neroli.

Organic Body Oil
(sesame oil, apricot kernel oil, macadamia nut oil, Certified Organic). A rich superbly absorbent, luxurious and moisturising body and massage oil.

Massage blends should be between 0.5% and 3% depending on the application. For children, the elderly, during pregnancy and when dealing with skin conditions, use the smaller % (generally 1% or less). For babies, approximately 0.5% (lavender and camomile are the two essential oils recommended for use with babies).
There are a wide variety of dropper insert types available. Different essential oil companies use different types, which produce different drops of different sizes. We supply oils with a dropper that give a relatively small drop and one which is easy to control, allowing more accurate dispensing when following recipes.
