Cypresses come in a variety of shapes and sizes from the distinctive cone shapes of the Mediterranean landscape to the disastrous leylandi Cypress which, when grooming is neglected, destroys many Irish gardens. They all have fragrant foliage, though the aroma varies according to the variety and country of origin. The species cypress sempirvirens is the one most widely used in aromatherapy. It has particular properties assisting the venous circulation and is thus used in the treatment of haemorrhoids and of varicose veins. It also can be used in a footbath for excessive sweating of the feet.

Head lice recipe & treatment
What you need:
1 Atomiser Spray, 100ml Lavender Water, 62 drops of Tea Tree Oil, 62 drops of Lavender oil, 62 drops of Geranium oil and 62 drops of Eucalyptus oil. When mixed this gives a 5% dilution ( Make up 2.5% strength for under 6 years old)
What you do:
Add the essential oils to the lavender water. Shake the mix thoroughly (each time you use it). Spray the top of the head generously, (massaging the head lightly) and then the rest of the hair. Follow by combing (normal comb) the oils through the hair. Leave this in for 2-3 hours or overnight if possible. Shampoo the hair and use a fine comb to remove the lice and eggs. Comb the hair thoroughly. Repeat the treatment every 48 hours. Four treatments should get rid of an infestation. To help prevent re-infestation use the spray on hoods, hats, scarves and collars etc.

Sandalwood
We now supply a new Sandalwood oil from the South Pacific island of Vanuata.
The species is santalum austrocaledonium, closely related to the Indian santalum album.
The oil comes from small producers who have an active program of replanting to ensure future supplies of wood. There are problems with the supply of Indian Sandalwood as replanting has not adequately kept up with the increasing demand.
Organic Grapefruit Oil
Organic Grapefruit oil is a by-product of the production of Organic Grapefruit juice. Currently there is a world oversupply of juice, so with production of Grapefruit Juice slowing down, Grapefruit oil is in short supply and the price is rising.
Rosewater
We no longer supply organic Rosewater as we had problems with spoilage and shelf life. We now only buy Rosewater from a company who puts it through a micro filter to take out any bacteria thus extending the shelf life without using artificial preservative.
