Dropper Inserts At first glance this might not seem to be the most fascinating of topics, but to use Essential Oils easily, a well-designed Dropper Insert is necessary - one which releases the oil too fast or too slowly is not efficient. The Dropper Insert we use gives a good controllable drop for all the most common oils such as Lavender, Tea Tree etc. Sometimes it may be necessary to give the bottle a little shake to start the first drop coming. For very thick oils such as Sandalwood, and oils supplied diluted in a carrier, oil can be frustratingly slow in coming. This is particularly noticeable. in cold weather. This problem can be solved by gently warming the oil by carrying it in an inner pocket for about twenty minutes or by placing it in a cup of lukewarm water. As it warms the oil will begin to flow more freely.

Organic Oils We now offer most of the common essential Oils from certified organic plants. With regard to price, all organic oils command a premium price - the extent of the premium depending on how difficult it is to grow the plant organically. Weed control and pest control can be extremely labour intensive and difficult by organic methods. For hardy trees and shrubs, where weeds are not such a problem the organic premium may be quite low for e.g. Tea Tree and Rosemary. On the other hand for herbs such as Camomile, Clary Sage and Peppermint, the price may be double or more that of the conventional agricultural product. Peppermint, when grown in agricultural quantities, is very prone to fungal infections and the conventional product may be heavily sprayed. As we now have a very good source of organic peppermint oil at quite reasonable prices we no longer offer the conventional oil.
