Rosa Mosquetta oil (also called Rosehip Seed) is pressed from the seeds of a wild South American Rose, rosa rubiginosa. It has been found to be beneficial in tissue regeneration for condition such as burns (after blisters are gone), wrinkles, stretchmarks, sun damage (not sunburn) and to help treat scarring following surgery.
The oil is extremely high in naturally occurring linoleic acid and other fatty acids which play an important role in helping skin tissue to regenerate and repair. Rosehip seed oil can also help reduce redness associated with damage to the skin.
It can be applied undiluted to the skin and for best results should be used at least twice a day. Neroli essential oil (Orange Blossom) also helps cell regeneration and it may be added to the Rosehip Seed oil to enhance treatments.
